Wizardry: The Five Ordeals is a Japanese-style dungeon crawler video game that has nothing to do with the classic RPG series Wizardry. Instead, this game is the new version of a title from 2006 created under the Unity engine. It maintains all the features of the original but includes overhauled graphics with support for widescreen and high resolutions.

Wizardry: The Five Ordeals is played like a classic dungeon crawler. You control a group of characters in the first-person view as they explore labyrinthic corridors and rooms full of monsters, traps, puzzles, and treasures. The game includes several races and classes for you to choose for your characters, and they can be equipped with powerful equipment that you can buy or find during your dungeon exploration. As they level up, they unlock more powerful abilities, explore more profound levels, fight against more dangerous enemies, and take on more challenging missions.

One of the main features of Wizardry: The Five Ordeals is a complete scenario editor that you can use to create your own adventure. You can also share it with other players, and there are more than a hundred player-created scenarios that you can access already.

Be aware that the game is still going through the localization process, and many of the texts are still in Japanese.
