In Can’t Drive This, your partner lays down the road you drive on. A competitive co-op multiplayer party game, you drive a monster truck even as your friend builds the road and all the obstacles in front of you. The thing is, you can’t slow down; once you go below a specific speed limit, your car explodes, just like in the movie Speed!

You need quick thinking and sharp reflexes to get through this chaotic obstacle course. Attempt to last as long as you can in this crazy romp. From their overhead view, your partner will lay down tiles with ramps, water, flaming hoops, domes, barriers, and more. Even as they’re laying down the road as fast they can, you have to drive through it while maintaining your speed.

Play in solo mode with a friend beside you on local co-op. On the other hand, you can also play with an online partner. Can’t Drive This also provides endless customization options for your monster truck. And if that isn’t enough, the game also comes with a level editor and customizable race tracks.

Will you finish this race, or will the race finish you? Find out in Can’t Drive This!

    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

If I am the builder, and I place a hazard directly in front of the driver, does the driver automatically fail the level?
No. The driver will only fail if they collide with the hazard. The builder's actions influence the driver's success, but direct causation is based on collision.
Does the type of terrain the builder places affect the driver's speed or handling?
Yes. Different terrains like sand, ice, or boost pads will significantly impact the driver's speed, traction, and overall control of the vehicle.
Can the driver intentionally drive off the track to force a reset?
Yes, but the game also has a built-in 'out of bounds' timer. Driving off the track will start the timer. If the timer expires, the driver fails the level.
If the driver hits a hazard that damages the car, does that damage persist throughout the level?
Yes. Vehicle damage is persistent. The more damage the car sustains, the harder it will be to control, making it more challenging to navigate the track.
As the builder, am I penalized for placing a series of difficult-to-navigate curves?
No, the builder isn't directly penalized for track difficulty. The challenge lies in coordinating with the driver. Success depends on the team's ability to create and navigate the course.
Does the builder have any visual cues to understand the driver's speed or upcoming turns?
Yes. The builder has access to various indicators, such as the driver's speed, the car's current direction, and a forward view, which assists in predicting upcoming movements.
If the driver is going too fast, can the builder place something to slow them down?
Yes. The builder can place various objects, such as brakes or different terrains like mud or ice, to reduce the driver's speed and improve control.
Can the driver boost and brake at the same time?
No. Boost and brake are mutually exclusive actions; the driver can only use one at a time. This constraint adds a layer of strategic decision-making.
Does the level end when the driver reaches the finish line, or are there other victory conditions?
The level ends when the driver reaches the finish line. There are no other victory conditions, but levels often have secondary objectives to earn extra points or rewards.
If the connection between the builder and the driver is lost mid-game, what happens?
If the connection is lost, the level will pause or the game will end, depending on the game mode and settings, because the core mechanic requires both players to continue.
