Monster Crown pixel art game: Creature in a cloud of smoke.

Monster Crown is an adventure in which you will explore an island full of monsters. The game is like a dark and more adult version of Pokemon in which you will have to make pacts with the monsters that inhabit the island in order to prevent the return of an ancient evil. Each of the monsters has different abilities and you will use them in combat to challenge other monster tamers. You can fuse and breed new species of monsters too, and even trade them online.

Uncover a dark world as you explore Crown Island and breed over a thousand species of monsters, each one of them with different powers. As you progress through the story, you will discover that the island is quite a dangerous place and that there are other threats than the monsters. The decisions you make as you play will have consequences and can turn you into a hero or a dark messiah. And when you are done with the story, you will be able to compete against other players from all over the world with your mightiest creatures.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

: Can I permanently lose a monster if I fail to protect it during a pact, and if so, what are the consequences?
Yes, failing to protect your monster during a pact can result in its permanent loss. This means the monster is gone from your party and cannot be revived. This mechanic emphasizes careful planning and the importance of each monster's survival.; How does the 'Monster Crown' mechanic interact with breeding and fusion, and what impact does it have on the resulting monster?
The 'Monster Crown' mechanic has a significant impact on breeding and fusion. If a monster with a crown is used, it can influence the traits and abilities passed down to the offspring or resulting fusion, potentially creating more powerful or unique creatures.; What is the extent of the 'Cursed' status, and how does it affect monster evolution or gameplay?
The 'Cursed' status in Monster Crown can drastically alter a monster's stats, abilities, or even their final evolution path. Cursed monsters often face disadvantages in battle or may require specific actions to purify or control their curse, adding a layer of strategic depth.; How does the 'lineage' system affect monster abilities or stats over generations through breeding?
The lineage system in Monster Crown keeps track of a monster's bloodline through generations of breeding. Each generation can improve their stats, or unlock special abilities from their lineage.; Beyond stats, what specific elements are inherited during breeding? Are specific moves, abilities, or hidden traits also passed down?
Breeding in Monster Crown allows for the inheritance of more than just stats. Specific moves, learned abilities, and even hidden traits can be passed down, creating opportunities for specialized builds and diverse team compositions.; How do monster fusions affect the resulting monster's overall stats, and are there any drawbacks or risks involved in fusing?
Monster fusions result in a new monster that combines aspects of both source monsters, potentially leading to greatly enhanced stats. There can be risks involved, such as a fused monster that is difficult to control. Also, the fusion process is irreversible.; Can I revert a monster's evolution, and if so, how does this impact the monster's stats and learnable abilities?
No, you cannot revert a monster's evolution once it has occurred. This means strategic planning is crucial when deciding to evolve a monster, as the decision is permanent and affects access to abilities and stat growth.; What are the limitations or conditions related to making pacts with monsters, and can I lose a monster during a pact?
Pacts with monsters are not always guaranteed. You may fail a pact if the requirements aren't met, or, in certain circumstances, if a monster isn't willing to be bound to you. Failing to protect your monster during a pact can result in losing the monster.; Does the game offer any form of permanent death for the player character or any other characters?
No, the game does not feature permanent death for the player character or other important characters. However, the permadeath of monsters can still create a sense of risk in combat.; Are there any special items or mechanics that influence the rate or chance of a monster mutation or evolution?
Yes, there are special items and mechanics, like feeding certain items to a monster, that can influence evolution paths. These items can, for example, help trigger a specific evolution or cause a mutation, giving the player some control over their monsters' development.

The game looks really nice. I'm a big fan of games that make use of pixel art, giving a bit of a retro tone to the game's atmosphere. Let's see what this Pokémon like will do!

Studio Aurum has done a Pokemon like indie game: let's go to catch monsters. But beware: this is not a childish game but a dark game with violence and dirty talking.
