You play Kai, a young girl who visits her estranged grandfather Nonno after receiving a letter from him that he might die soon. Unfortunately for you, he lives out on an island that is shunned because the population had been turned into mutants after a meteorite hit it. Now, its altered population lives in harmony with its mutated plants and animals while coping with their own condition. Nonno acts as their shaman, but now that he is ill, you are left to take over his duties.
As the assistant shaman, help maintain the balance of nature on the island. Spend your day tending to the Mutazione gardens. Find seeds to add specific plants that will restore the gardens.
When you’re not tending to the plants, explore the town and talk to its quirky collection of residents. Discover their stories and engage in meaningful conversations involving love, buried memories, and trauma. Everyone has their own story to tell, and perhaps secrets to keep. Kai, too, has a challenge to face, with the bird-like figure that keeps appearing in her dreams.
