    The fourth installment in the Port Royale series lets you experience life in the Caribbean in the 17th century. You will play as the governor of a little colony that you will have to develop into a flourishing trading city. In a region where Spain, England, France and the Netherlands fight for supremacy and control of the trade resources, you will have to create trade routes and keep up with the increasing demands of your nation's viceroy as you fend off pirates and privateer in intense naval battles. As your settlement grows and you progress through the game, you will be able to expand the area under your control by conquering the cities of rival nations.

    Naval battles in Port Royale 4 can involve up to eight different ships and for the first time in the series, they are going to be turn-based. That opens new tactical possibilities and allows you to devise complex strategies that could turn the tide in your favor in battle.
