In the city-builder Aven Colony, you can conquer a whole new planet and establish your colony. This planet is Aven Prime, located far from the Earth, at light years of our solar system. You will have to establish a lasting colony, using what Aven Prime has to offer you. The planet is composed of different biomes, deserts, jungles, or even ruthless tundra. Each environment offers its own resources, but the entire planet has a low oxygen atmosphere. As the Colony Governor you will need to support your settlers and oversee multitude of parameters. For starters, you will need to meet some basic necessities so that your settlers simply get to survive. You will need to provide an adequate supply of oxygen, water, food, and energy by building the appropriate structures. You can also improve these structures. For example, a Tier 2 farm will produce more food than a Tier 1 farm. To build new buildings, or to improve them, you will need a single resource, the nanites. You will get it by mining and transforming the ore obtained. Obviously, to accomplish these tasks, you will need your settlers. You will have to provide them with a number of things so that they are happy. Your settlers will need housing, water, and food in sufficient quantity but also work and distraction. You will, therefore, have to pay attention to the unemployment rate, but also have enough means to entertain your settlers. If citizens' morale drops below 50%, the game is over. On the contrary, if your settlers are satisfied, you can get the title of Expedition President. But in Aven Colony, the danger comes from everywhere. Aven Prime is not devoid of life. You will have to contend with climatic hazards such as electric storms or dust, lethal gas escaping from hydrothermal sources, giant worms that inhabit the earth's subsoil, deadly spores or the Creep. And if you still think that Aven Prime is a peaceful planet, wait until winter arrives. Aven Colony has a day/night alternation, but also a seasonal cycle. In winter, farms do not produce food and solar energy is lower, among other things. But do not worry. Aven Colony is not as cruel as it looks. In addition to a simple and clear interface, a two-mission tutorial will help you become familiar with most features. Aven Colony also offers two game modes. A campaign mode composed of varied missions in which you will discover the past of Aven Prime and a Sandbox mode that allows you to create customized games with several levels of difficulty. Available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, Aven Colony offers you a whole new world, it is up to you to make it your home.
