Wolfenstein 3D is a 1992 first-person shooter video game developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. Set during World War II, the game puts players in control of an American spy named B.J. Blazkowicz as he infiltrates Nazi strongholds throughout German-occupied Europe to steal secret plans for Operation Eisenfaust – a fanatical experiment that could turn Hitler into an immortal superbeing.
