Yakuza: Like a Dragon shows its jobs in a new video

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is definitely going to change the franchise, not only because it will focus on a completely new character leaving aside Kazuma Kiryu but also because it will take a completely different approach to certain aspects of the game. You can take a look at what we are talking about in the latest video released by SEGA, which shows some of the 20 different "jobs" that Ichiban Kasuga and his allies will be able to take in the game. It's quite clear that in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, combat has absolutely nothing to do with what it was in previous installments in the series, and the brand new turn-based mechanics may not be everyone's cup of tea.

After watching the video, you might wonder if you are really looking at a Yakuza game or something more similar to a Final Fantasy game, but whether you like it or not, it's undeniable that the new Yakuza: Like a Dragon has managed to convince the fans of the series, at least in Japan, where the game has been available for quite a while already. The same may not be happening when the game is released in the West on November 13th, 2020.

It seems that Yakuza: Like a Dragon may be too focused on the goofy aspect of the series, and besides those flashy moves and outfits, there will be more than enough side activities and mini-games in the game. At the end of the day, that way of reflecting Japanese culture is not unusual in video games, and it's likely that Yakuza fans won't have any problems with it.

As stated above, Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be available on November 13th for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and a bit later on PlayStation 4. Since it will be available on launch day for Microsoft's next-gen console, Xbox Series X will be released on that same day or maybe a little earlier.
