Wild Hearts introduces free trial and Murakumo update

Wild Hearts has been releasing a slew of new content since it launched in February this year, so it’s worthwhile to know you can play a portion of the game for free. That's right, you can play this Monster-Hunter-style RPG on PlayStation 5 and Xbox X|S for the next few days. Check out the newest Wild Hearts trailer here:

Per a promo email, the current free trial will let you “get a look at the latest content coming to Wild Hearts and play for free from April 6 to April 13 on PlayStation and Xbox, exploring up to the gate of Minato!" Just please take note that to access the game, you must use an EA account. Once you’re in, you can play the game until this Thursday.

Wild Hearts is known for its constant flow of content, and this month proves to be no different. Primarily, it adds the Murakumo, a mystical fox creature that has the power to command “lightning and sakura petals.” According to Wild Hearts’ director Kotaro Hirata, this name references spring thunder in Japan.

But the patch includes more than new content. After receiving negative reviews on the PC version for technical and performance issues, Omega Force added various fixes to the update, the patch notes of which are over 5,000 words long. The fixes include adding FSR to ‘Upscaling’ to settings to reduce the drawing load, improving the performance for some CPUs and GPUs, and various issues such as correct cursor speed and removing the 240 FPS limit.

Wild Hearts is free to play for next-gen consoles until April 13, 2023. You can log in with your EA account at any time to try it out. If you end up liking the game, you can purchase a Wild Hearts PS5 key from our comparator at the cheapest prices available.
