Tango shows off the dark world of Ghostwire: Tokyo

We expected more news about Ghostwire: Tokyo to appear after the recent confirmation of its release date. But there is still a lot to discover about the new title from the creators of The Evil Within. With Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami as director, Ghostwire: Tokyo has been on the radar since the game was announced, but very little information about it has been revealed other than a few details about the story. The game will transport players to the city of Tokyo, which evil spirits have overrun. As one of the few humans who has not disappeared, you will be the one to try and bring things back to normal, fighting against the occult with extraordinary powers that you have awakened.

A few days ago, we finally could get a glimpse of the type of gameplay that Ghostwire: Tokyo will offer. Tango Gameworks and Bethesda published a video that goes into detail to explain some of the different mechanics and features in the game, and it has left us amazed. First of all, the gameplay is nothing similar to The Evil Within. You are less of a scaredy-cat in this game and will have plenty of tools at your disposal to combat evil spirits. Ghostwire: Tokyo presents a horror setting, but the gameplay is more focused on action and exploration.

Ghostwire: Tokyo gameplay

The graphics in Ghostwire: Tokyo are impressive, and the scenarios in the game really transmit the vibe of the city they represent. But the game seems to offer much more than flashy combats and neon lights, and it will allow you to immerse in a deep storyline that will uncover who is behind the current situation in the city and what you will have to sacrifice to bring your loved ones back.

The release of Ghostwire: Tokyo is scheduled for March 25 on PC and PlayStation. The game will stay exclusive to PlayStation for at least a year before it launches on Xbox, so you better visit our comparator to find the best price for your Ghostwire: Tokyo PC code if you don't want to wait.
