Remnant: From the Ashes will receive a free next-gen upgrade

Remnant: From the Ashes is a post-apocalyptic adventure that received a very warm welcome from the players when it was released in 2019. This third-person action shooter developed by Gunfire Games has been called a "Dark Souls with guns" and that defines the essence of its gameplay quite accurately. In the game, you are one of the few survivors left after our planet has been invaded by the root, an entity from another dimension who is able to infest and corrupt any living being. Using a portal located at the only relatively safe place left, you are able to access other dimensions looking for a way to destroy the source of the evil that has caused all this chaos. Of course, you will have to fight plenty of enemies with limited weapons and ammo but it's possible to upgrade those with materials that you will collect as your progress through the game. Remnant: From the Ashes allows you to share your adventure with other two players and offers you several dimensions to explore while you look for a way to destroy the Root.

Remnant: From the Ashes experienced a peak of popularity when it was offered for free in Epic Games Store on PC, but there are also quite a few players that enjoy the game on consoles. Developer Gunfire Games has just announced that there is a free update for the game on the way that will add new graphics options for next-gen consoles. Starting on May 13, players will be able to run Remnant: From the Ashes "at 4K resolution at 30fps the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, or 1080p resolution at 60fps on both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S".

Along with this update, Remnant: From the Ashes will be added to Xbox Game Pass on PC and the game will support crossplay between Xbox and Windows 10 players.
