Grab your crew and start digging in Ore Factory Squad
Co-op gaming has been on an absolute roll lately. It feels like every few weeks, another indie game arrives with a fresh excuse to grab some friends, jump into voice chat and immediately turn a straightforward job into complete chaos. Games such as Meccha Chameleon have shown how much fun smaller multiplayer experiences can be when they focus on teamwork, personality and moments that are just as entertaining when everything goes wrong.
Ore Factory Squad happily joins that growing group of co-op games, combining mining, factory management and business simulation in one delightfully busy package. Developed by Turkish indie studio threeW and published by PlayWay, the game lets up to four players build an industrial operation together, starting with little more than basic tools, an empty warehouse and a suspiciously large amount of ground waiting to be destroyed.
Dig deep and build your mining empire
The main loop is easy to understand but dangerously addictive. Players purchase mining locations, dig through procedurally generated underground areas and search for increasingly valuable resources. You can carve your own tunnels with pickaxes and jackhammers, blast through tougher sections using dynamite and explore deeper layers in search of materials worth hauling back to the surface.
Of course, digging is only the beginning. Ore Factory Squad also lets you transform raw resources into useful products through machines, conveyor belts and multi-stage production lines. You can move cargo with forklifts, load trucks, complete company contracts and gradually automate the warehouse using employees and robots. There is always another machine to unlock, another licence to purchase or another production chain to improve.
The co-op potential is where the game becomes especially entertaining. One player can focus on mining while another manages the factory, drives the forklift or prepares deliveries. That sounds organised, but it will probably take only a few minutes before somebody blocks a tunnel, crashes a vehicle or sends the wrong products to a customer. This mixture of teamwork and harmless workplace disaster gives Ore Factory Squad its strongest personality.
With multiple properties, more than 60 resources and products, vehicles, employees, contracts and factory customisation, there is plenty here for groups that enjoy building something together. It mixes the satisfying digging of Hydroneer with the production-line obsession of factory games, but keeps everything approachable and wonderfully chaotic.
