Lost Ark causes problems to Steam ahead of release

It's expected that a huge number of players will rush to play Lost Ark when it becomes available this weekend. In fact, there are quite a few enjoying the game already on Valve's platform because there are several packs available that provide a few days of early access to the game. Lost Ark Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum Founder's Packs come with a fairly large set of in-game goodies and boons to enhance your experience in the game and allow you to play the game already. Over half a million concurrent players were in the game just a few hours after it was open to those with early access on Steam, but it seems to be just a small sample of what will happen this weekend when it launches for everybody.

Everything hints at a really massive number of players in the game on Saturday, when it officially launches. There are already quite a few complaints about increasingly long downloading times for those that are pre-loading Lost Ark to start playing as soon as the servers open to all players. In fact, the Lost Ark developer has acknowledged the problem on Twitter, and it could get worse as the weekend approaches. They have a few days to get everything ready for what's coming, though, and we hope that everyone is able to enjoy the game without a problem.

Since Lost Ark has been available in Korea for a while, there are no doubts about the quality of the game, its spectacular graphics, the multitude of classes available, or its Diablo-like gameplay. Still, it would be a shame if the launch gets shadowed because of technical problems.
