As expected, Tekken 8 is taking the spotlight at EVO Japan 2023. Bandai Namco is fully aware of the importance of the tournament among the fans of fighting games, and it's pushing the marketing campaign of its upcoming title. In the last few weeks, we have seen plenty of videos showcasing the fighters that will be present in Tekken 8 at launch. The list includes characters that have been present in all the installments in the series, like Kazuya, and some that have been absent for a while, like Jun, but more keep being revealed. Leroy Smith and Asuka Kazama were shown this weekend in their respective videos.
Leroy Smith
After appearing in Tekken 7 as one of th characters in the season pass, the Win chun master returns in Tekken 8 to take part in The King of the Iron Fist Tournament. His goal is to claim vengeance on those who caused the gang war that almost destroyed New York City fifty years ago. He has added some new movements to his set, but his fast punches combination is still the core of his offense.
Asuka Kazama
Another member of the Kazama family will take the spotlight in Tekken 8. Asuka Kazama will fight for justice and try to win the tournament. She masters the Kazama Style Traditional Martial Arts and makes use of acrobatic kicks to bring down to their knees any opponents, no matter how big.
