After an unexpected debut in Tekken 3, Ling Xiaoyu became one of the most popular characters in the Tekken universe. The developers were looking to bring younger blood to a game where most of the characters were male and older, and the addition of a character that looked almost like a schoolgirl was a big surprise for the fans. A few days ago, we were wondering if Bandai Namco would include more female characters in Tekken 8, and she was announced as a playable character right after that. Chinese martial arts with a touch of ingenuity

Ling Xiaoyu still uses movements from Chinese martial arts inspired by Baguazhang and Piguaquan. She moves gracefully through the scenario while performing devastating combos capable that can leave her opponents breathless. She seamlessly uses palm strikes and kicks to break her opponents' defenses and knock them down. In Tekken 8, she will use more grappling and throws than in previous games, which widens up her range of movements and makes her even deadlier.

The number of Tekken 8 characters revealed in the last few weeks keeps increasing. The growing list includes ten so far, but Bandai Namco is yet to reveal how many there will be available in the game at launch.
