Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will feature multiple endings

Warhorse Studios recently held an almost two-hour livestream focused on Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. The stream unveiled fresh details about the upcoming RPG while answering community questions. The session's highlight was the announcement that Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will feature multiple endings, marking a departure from its predecessor. Warhorse Studios revealed that players will navigate various paths while determining the fate of Henry of Skalitz. During the livestream, design lead Prokop Jirsa hinted that the game's protagonist could shift from hero to villain with just a few decisions.

Henry's rise to becoming a noble knight could even be tainted by the blood of innocent peasants. Depending on player choices, the ending of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will change. This is a significant difference from Kingdom Come: Deliverance, where choices shaped certain quests and how you progressed through the story but ultimately didn't alter the game's conclusion.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a direct sequel, and as with most sequels, there's always a minor gripe about the protagonist's starting strength, especially considering their power level at the end of the previous game. While titles like God of War Ragnarök strip Kratos of his skill points without explanation—not that one is necessarily needed—Warhorse Studios took a different approach by making this reset part of the narrative. Early in the game, a message explains that Henry suffered a terrible fall, which resulted in the loss of several Main Level, Skills, and Perk points due to extensive injuries. This detail adds a nice touch of immersion and justifies why players will need to rebuild Henry's abilities from scratch.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II promises a hardcore simulation experience in which even hygiene affects relationships with NPCs. The campaign will track both routine actions and dramatic choices, ensuring a deep and immersive gameplay experience. Fans are thrilled about the sequel, especially considering the first game's success. Warhorse Studios proudly announced that Kingdom Come: Deliverance has sold 8 million copies since its release—an impressive milestone for an indie studio's debut title.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is set to release on February 11, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. Interested players can already pre-order the medieval adventure in two editions: Standard and Gold. According to the official website, the Gold Edition includes the base game, an Expansion Pass, and the Gallant Huntsman's Kit. Pre-orders also come with access to the The Lion's Crest bonus quest.
