Intel expands APO optimization for new Arrow Lake CPUs, boosts gaming performance across 26 titles
Intel has introduced the Application Optimisation (APO) technology, which is beneficial for gamers. It can significantly enhance the performance of supported games when used with modern Intel CPUs, offering support for the new Core Ultra 200 series CPUs and 12 additional games.
Intel's Application Optimisation technology is specifically designed for Intel 12th gen, 13th gen, 14th gen, and Core Ultra 200 series CPUs, with support for CPU models featuring 8 P-cores. Additionally, CPUs with 6 P-Cores are also supported through "Advanced Mode," which provides limited game support.
The APO technology enables the Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology (DTT), which contributes to improving performance, battery life, and temperatures for Intel hardware. With the latest update, the newly added games can now be optimized as the software can allocate resources to the application that requires the most attention in real-time.

The recent update to APO includes support for Counter-Strike 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Company of Heroes 3, DOTA 2, Fortnite, Naraka: Bladepoint, The Riftbreaker, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Total War Pharaoh, Total War Three Kingdoms, and Total War Warhammer 3. Notably, the majority of supported titles are competitive multiplayer games that benefit from higher framerates, and many games on the list have popular CPU benchmarks.
Games like CS2 and Dota 2 are among the most played games on Steam, with hundreds of thousands of concurrent players at all times. The addition of games like Cyberpunk 2077, RDR2, SOTR, and various other triple-A titles will enable smoother performance on the latest Intel hardware, especially the Intel Arrow Lake Core 200S chips, which is the latest series to receive support for the Intel APO.
For users of these supported games, Intel’s APO technology is a valuable addition for Intel CPU users, providing a welcomed boost in CPU performance.
