Fix the van and outrun the storm in Funnel Runners
Co-op survival games usually throw monsters, ghosts or angry creatures at a group of poorly prepared players. Funnel Runners takes a much wilder approach: the monster is an enormous tornado, and your team’s only hope is fixing a broken van before the entire neighbourhood gets turned into airborne debris.
Fix the van before the storm hits
Playable solo or with up to eight players, Funnel Runners drops you into a storm-struck American town as an operative working for APEX Storm Monitoring Services. Each run gives the team around 20 minutes to explore buildings, search for tools and repair whatever has gone wrong with the escape vehicle. You may need to replace a battery, change tyres, find fuel or complete repair minigames while the weather becomes increasingly dangerous.
That simple objective creates plenty of hilarious panic. Players can be struck by lightning, pulled into the air, hit by flying objects or separated from the group as buildings collapse around them. Proximity voice chat makes everything even better, especially when one teammate calmly explains the repair plan while another is being carried down the street by an F5 tornado.
This environmental threat is what gives Funnel Runners its unique identity. Rather than memorising enemy behaviour, players must react to unpredictable weather, changing routes and randomised loot locations. One run might feel surprisingly organised, while the next becomes complete chaos within minutes. It has some of the teamwork-driven comedy of Lethal Company, but replaces creepy facilities with destructive storms and frantic roadside repairs.
The idea is already catching plenty of attention. The game reportedly reached more than 170,000 Steam wishlists before release and sold 100,000 copies within its first few days. Players are praising its atmosphere, destruction and multiplayer comedy, giving it the ingredients needed to become one of those games that suddenly takes over Twitch, YouTube and TikTok.
Its future will depend on consistent updates. New maps, weather events, objectives, gadgets and progression systems could keep every session feeling fresh. Games such as ARC Raiders have shown how steady content drops, balance changes and community-focused improvements can keep players excited long after launch.
Funnel Runners already has a brilliant central idea. With regular updates and enough new content, this storm could keep growing—and potentially become a full-blown viral phenomenon. Don’t forget to use our price comparison tool to find the best prices for Funnel Runners.
