Diablo 4 has its first patch
It's been just a few days after thousands of players returned to Sanctuary for a new adventure. Only those with early access to the game have been able to discover more details about Lilith's plans for the world she created in Diablo 4. The rest of the fans will have to wait until tomorrow to enter a world under the influence of Mephisto's daughter. With the upcoming launch in mind Blizzard has released the first update for the game. The most noteworthy element present in it is that it does not include big fixes, which proves that the current version of Diablo 4 is solid enough to deliver a stable experience. What the patch does is mainly address some balance issues between classes.
Necromancers rejoice!
Barbarians, Rogues, and Sorcerers have been deemed too powerful by the almighty gods of Blizzard and they have received a good beating with the nerf stick. The power of some of their skills has been lowered so they are not such an obvious choice when creating your build to progress in the game. Meanwhile, Necromancers gain enough combat power to make them a solid choice without making them the powerhouses they were in the first Diablo 4 beta. Most Glyphs have also received a pass and players will see their effects reduced. The reasons behind these changes have been clearly revealed by Blizzard in the official patch notes:
"While we want players to both feel and be truly powerful, some Class builds and synergies are outside of our bounds for what is reasonable for the health of the game, so we are reducing their effectiveness. As an example, we generally want to avoid creating situations where players can survive unreasonably high amounts of damage for long periods of time because it too greatly warps our vision for how combat should be in Diablo IV."
With these changes in place, those players that enter the world of Diablo 4 tomorrow will enjoy a more balanced experience. In fact, these will benefit some of those interested in the race to get the special reward reserved for the first ones to reach level 100 in hardcore mode, a title that still remains unclaimed. If you don't want to miss the return of the most important ARPG series of all time, use our comparator to get your Diablo 4 CD key and get ready to start playing tomorrow.
