Deathloop has been postponed again

It was received with enthusiasm during E3 2019 with a trailer full of colors and music, worthy of a Tarantino film. Deathloop is the new baby of the Lyon-based studio Arkane, which is responsible for the Dishonored series, Prey and Wolfenstein: Youngblood. At the Playstation event in June 2020, we were able to discover more about the game, and learn that Deathloop would be a temporary one-year exclusive on Playstation 5.

Even though its release was originally announced for late 2020, Deathloop was pushed back to spring 2021 and it was due to be released in just over a month, on May 21st. But it seems that it will not be happening as the launch has been delayed once again.

We have made the decision to delay the release of DEATHLOOP to September 14, 2021.

We want to preserve the quality and ambitions our team has for DEATHLOOP, while ensuring that everyone at Arkane remains healthy and safe. This additional time will allow us to achieve our goal of creating a fun, original, and memorable gaming experience.

We apologize for the extended wait and thank you for your kindness and enthusiasm. It is the players who fuel our creativity and our work. We look forward to telling you more about DEATHLOOP very soon!

The announcement on the official website of the game comes as sad news for all the players who have been looking forward to playing Deathloop. But this kind of situation is something that we're getting used to, not only because of the pandemic but also because of what we can almost call the "Cyberpunk 2077 effect".

One thing is for sure, no matter when Deathloop is released, you can always find it at the best price on our comparator.
