Borderlands 3 shows the world of Promethea

Until now, the games in the Borderlands series have focused exclusively on the world of Pandora. To be fair, we have to say that Borderland's The Pre-Sequel takes place at Pandora's Moon, but that's another story. Now that Borderlands 3 is on the way, one of the things that caught the attention of the players is that we will be able to explore many other planets through the system looking for other vaults. Not too long ago some information about the Pandora we will find in Borderlands 3 was released, but there was no info about other destinations in the game. Gearbox published yesterday a video that gives us a bit of information aboutthe kind of things we can expect to find when we set foot in the world of Promethea.

Promethea is home to the Atlas Corporation, one of the weapon manufacturers in the Borderlands universe. The planet is a metropolitan world full of urban scenarios and rich in resources, and the place where eridian alien technology was discovered first. Unfortunately, you won't have much time for sightseeing because you will arrive at the planet in the middle of a crisis, because Promethea is under siege by the forces of the biggest elemental weapons manufacturer, Maliwan. It is yet to be unveiled what role you will take in this conflict, but we can imagine that Borderlands 3 will let you choose which side you align with if you are to fight alongside any of them. It´s quite likely that you will help both sides to an extent for your own benefit. You will need to be careful because even if you manage to negotiate with Atlas and Maliwan, the local fauna doesn't seem to be too fond of strangers.

Promethea is just one of the stops for the Vault Hunters in the incredible adventure that is waiting for them in Borderlands 3. We expect to learn more about other planets before the game launches on September 13 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
