Via a tweet, Gearbox announced that during the gameplay presentation, hundreds of streamers will broadcast their game sessions, with the new extension ECHOcast. By combining your Shift and Twitch accounts, you will have the opportunity to interact with the streams to earn loot. ECHOcast will allow you to inspect the inventory, bags, and skills of the player you are watching. You will be able to discover a certain amount of information, in particular regarding weapons and statistics. And when the player opens a rare chest, you will have a chance to receive one of the items it contains. When he opens the chest, you will have 30 seconds to join the event. If you win, you will then have the possibility to choose the object of your choice from the chest. You can then pick it up in-game via mail once Borderlands 3 launches on September 13, 2019.
