Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale series receive an important update

Most fans of role-playing games have played or have heard about Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale series. Those classics are considered some of the best games in the genre for a good reason. They offer an epic storyline, loads of hours of exciting gameplay, plenty of missions, and they are based on one of the most popular universes of Dungeons and Dragons tabletop RPG, Forgotten Realms. These series are so popular that there are enhanced versions of the original games that have adapted them to modern machines. Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate 2, and Icewind Dale Enhanced Editions all allow you to enjoy these games with remastered graphics and they include all the additional content released for each of the games so you do not miss anything, as well as some additional features. The new editions have contributed to keeping the series in their rightful spot at the top of any list of role-playing games, and they will probably continue to be there for a long time since Baldur's Gate III is currently under development by Larian Studios and it's one of the most anticipated games in the genre.

The only problem with those remasters is that technology advances at an astonishing speed and games can become obsolete rather fast. But in some cases, it's worth the effort to adapt them to the new circumstances, and this is one of those cases. Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition, Baldur's Gate 2 Enhanced Edition, and Icewind Dale Enhanced Edition have just been upgraded to 64-Bit, improving system compatibility with modern machines. The only downside is that 32-Bit operating systems are no longer supported so you will have to upgrade your software if you want to play these games. Along with that change, the 2.6 Update adds additional features for the three games, including new locations, character portraits, voice sets, and localization options, as well as some bug fixes.
