Playdead is recruiting for the successor of Limbo and Inside
The Danish studio, Playdead had been rather discreet for a while, but it seems that things are activating again. We learned very recently that Playdead, like Remedy (Control) and Gen Design (The Last Guardian), had signed a contract with Epic Games Publishing, a new game publishing program, allowing them to benefit from the financial support of Epic Games.
In the process, Playdead, whose Twitter account has been inactive since the summer of 2018, seems to have resumed communication. They have indeed posted a short video that teases their next project and that, above all, announces that the studio is recruiting for the latter.

After the success of their first two games, LIMBO, which was released in 2010, and INSIDE, published in 2016, Playdead announced in 2017 that it was working on a new project. But since then, we haven't had any news. The published video does not reveal much and is closer to an animated GIF than a teasing video, but the job offers tells us a little more.
You can find some visuals there, each advertisement being accompanied by concept art. But the most interesting thing is that we learn that this new project would be “a third-person science fiction adventure that takes place in a remote corner of the universe" and also that it would be in the open world.
It's difficult to say at the moment what will be the nature of this next game but it seems in any case that the studio wants to offer something different. Indeed, LIMBO and INSIDE both offer side-scrolling gameplay in a dark universe with a host of puzzles to solve to progress. Given the visuals of this new project, we imagine that the special atmosphere of PlayDead games will be there, but in a whole new way. We can't wait to find out more about it.
