World domination is a recurrent dream that has been the objective of many villains over the years. Everyone has been the witness to one of such attempts in films, books, or video games, and even though there is always a hero that manages to stop them, evildoers continue to devise wicked plans in order to see the world laying at their feet. Fortunately, there are some video games that leave behind the boredom of saving the world as a puny hero to give you the opportunity of playing as an almighty villain. Evil Genius does exactly that and it adds a good dose of wicked humor to the formula. It's a simulation game that puts at your disposal an army of loyal minions for you to build your lair and complete your master plan to take over the world.

Evil Genius allows you to create and manage your own lair. You will fill it with traps to get rid of pesky intruders and recruit minions that you will have to train before you send them on to spread chaos all over the world and generate money to fund your world domination plans.

You can get Evil Genius on PC just by login to your Steam account and linking it to your Rebellion account, which you will just have to create if you don't have one. The game is currently free to celebrate the upcoming release of its sequel, Evil Genius 2: World Domination, which features new gameplay mechanics and enhanced graphics, and puts at your disposal a whole tropical isle that you can use to build the lair you always dreamed of. Although there is no confirmed release date for Evil Genius 2: World Domination, the game should be coming this year.
