Operating alone or with your crew of up to three other players, search the stars for loot to salvage and survive by any means you can. Not only do you deal with a hostile environment every mission, but you must also contend with other Marauders on the same mission as you are and aren’t going to lose sleep over putting a bullet in you.
    Marauders features a cruel dieselpunk world where World War I still rages. The only way for Marauders such as yourself to survive is to fly your ship to places you can plunder, grab what you can, and shoot your way out. 
    Gain XP which you can use to unlock new weapons and gear. Upgrade your weapon with mods to increase your firepower.     If I successfully extract with valuable loot, will the value of my starting gear be reduced for the next raid?
    No. The starting gear is replenished at the beginning of each raid. Any gear you extract with will be kept for future raids or can be sold.
    Can I betray my allies mid-raid, and what are the consequences?
    Yes, you can. Betrayal is a core mechanic. Consequences include losing reputation with factions, and potentially becoming a target for other players or AI.
    How does the ship customization system affect gameplay beyond aesthetics?
    Customizations can affect your ship's storage capacity, armor, weapon loadouts, and even special abilities like the ability to quickly escape a raid.
    Are there permanent consequences for dying in a raid?
    Yes, you lose all the gear you brought into the raid. There is also a health system, and repeated injuries can lead to long-term debuffs.
    How does the 'airlock' mechanic function in ship-to-ship combat?
    The airlock allows for boarding enemy ships. You can breach the airlock and engage in close-quarters combat inside their ship. The defender can use the airlock as a chokepoint.
    How do you acquire and use 'intel' to gain advantages in raids?
    Intel can be found or purchased, and provides information on enemy positions, valuable loot locations, and extraction point availability, before and during the raid.
    Can I sell the stolen goods to multiple factions and how does this affect my standing with each?
    Yes, you can sell to different factions. Selling to a faction increases your reputation with them, allowing you to access better deals and quests, while hurting your reputation with rival factions.
    What happens if I destroy another player's ship during ship-to-ship combat?
    Their ship and its contents are destroyed, and their pilot is killed. You can then loot their ship. However, it will also likely increase your notoriety and make you a target.
    How does the 'scavenging' system work, and what types of items can I find?
    Scavenging allows you to search specific areas for loot. You can find everything from resources to craft items, to rare weapons and valuable artifacts. The type of items varies by location.
    Is there a risk of running out of fuel during a raid, and how does this affect gameplay?
    Yes. Running out of fuel during a raid will prevent you from escaping via your ship, forcing you to use emergency extraction points, which are often more dangerous.
