The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes is the third installment in The Dark Pictures horror series, which consists of eight games in total. The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes takes you to Iraq on the trail of the Sumerian people. The story takes place at the end of the war when a Special Forces unit is searching for weapons of mass destruction. Eventually, they discover something, but it is far from what they had imagined, and far more formidable. Instead of weapons, they have discovered an ancient Sumerian temple that contains supernatural creatures, which will force the two warring sides to join forces to fight an ancient evil.
Like previous games, The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes allows you to play alone or share the adventure with a friend in the online Shared Story mode, or with up to four other players in local Movie Night mode.
