The Waylanders is a party-based RPG inspired by beloved classics such as Dragon Age: Origins, Neverwinter Nights 2, and Baldur's Gate. You will be able to time travel between two distinct eras, Celtic and Medieval. You are kicked out of the timeline after a meeting with Tuatha de Danaan Gods went horribly wrong. The land has been overtaken by magickal corruptions, and the kingdom, once peaceful, has splintered into multiple factions warring for the throne. The Celtic culture, a complex tapestry of different religions, cultures, mortal and immortal human races, werewolves, druids, goblins, and monsters threatens to tear at every seam. This will let you travel in time, but you'll manage two separate parties: your original Celtic companions and their Medieval reincarnations.
Your decisions in one time period have consequences in the other and these decisions will take you to multiple different endings. The Waylanders features unique gameplay based on formations in Real-time combat with a tactical pause option. Formations allow you to use your party as a team and combine into offensive formations allowing for deep combat tactics. There are six basic classes and up to 30 advanced classes, with five playable races based on Celtic Mythology. Each class will have different formations to build, and each formation will have special abilities to use.
