Boston, 1979. You are Adam, a CIA cryptanalyst who has fled to the countryside with your pregnant wife in order to hide from Russian agents. You end up in Blackstone Manor, a house with a sordid past. While working to crack a Russian code, you discover the diary of Nicolas Hyde, a troubled resident of the Manor who lived there in 1864. Reading the diary resurrects a horrible past, leaving Adam and his wife immersed in the fight of their lives.
