8-Bit Armies is a fast-paced real-time strategy game developed by Petroglyph. The goal of the game is to conquer your opponents by conquering their bases and eliminating their allies. You can challenge yourself in single-player campaigns or skirmishes, or take on other players in online battles around the world.
The art style of 8-Bit Armies is heavily inspired by classic video games, with bright colors and chunky pixel sprites that are sure to evoke nostalgia for gamers who grew up playing NES titles. Gameplay in 8-Bit Armies consists primarily of base building and resource management as you collect resources from Oil Derricks, Power Stations and Solar Panels spread across the map. You can then use these resources to construct buildings such as Barracks which train ground units, Production Centers which build air units, War Factories for tanks and Gunboats for naval combat – allowing you to diversify your forces according to research preferences or tactical needs against your enemies’ strategies. Different unit types also have unique abilities that can be deployed to gain an advantage over your opponent; from Infantry shock attacks that stun enemy forces nearby to strategic bomber runs capable of decimating swaths of terrain or annihilating enemy bases.
8-Bit Armies is a great game for players looking for an easy to learn but difficult to master RTS experience that’s fun and accessible for gamers of all ages. With its unique art style, deep strategic gameplay, and addicting online multiplayer, 8-Bit Armies is sure to provide exciting action for strategy fans everywhere.
