Titanfall is a first-person shooter game that will focus on both piloting the Titans and having Titans follow you as support while you fight on foot. Fast-paced, it includes abilities like running on walls and hijacking mechs, plus extended periods between player deaths. The game will only feature online Multi-player (with single-player elements to it); there will be no traditional single-player (Campaign) mode.
The Factions:
• Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation - An Earth-based mega-corporation that has invaded the independent colonies of the Frontier to harvest their considerable natural resources because of the increasing demand for manufacturing materials for Titans. Hammond Robotics, a division of the IMC and successor of Hammond Engineering the founding company of the IMC, are creators of the Titan technology.
• Frontier Militia - Settlers, mercenaries and outlaws that represent the military power in the Frontier, resisting the corporate military forces of the IMC. The Militia is divided into many semi-independent brigades, each responsible for fighting the IMC in a specific sector of Frontier space. Marauder Corps, for example, is one o those brigades, the one in charge of defending the Freeport System.
Pilots: They are player-controlled foot soldiers able to control Titans. Every pilot is outfitted with a jetpack that allows them to perform incredible movements, including wall-running and double-jumping. They are also equipped with standard and anti-titan weapons and have access to other types of experimental weaponry.
The Titans: They are giant robotic exoskeletons that serve as extensions of the pilots' body. Measuring about twenty feet tall, they are agile enough to both sprint and sidestep. They can wield different weapons and are able to use melee to damage enemy Titans and rip pilots out of opposing Titans. Titans are constructed at the beginning of a match, and after a two-minute wait, you can ask for the deployment of one at a drop-point from your dropship. Once they land they are usable by any nearby friendly units.
There are several types of Titans:
• The Atlas: The Atlas class titan is designed to be a multi-role Titan that excels where all other models fall short. The Atlas combines good firepower with better mobility than heavier Titans and good protection. Dependable and powerful, it can perform with great results all kinds of missions, from scouting to assault or support fire.
• The Ogre: The Ogre class titan is an armored juggernaut. A definitive tank whose armor is able to able to withstand punishment in the front lines. Its towering mass tends to attract fire from enemy units, reducing casualties on your team. Its survivability is the highest among the titans and it comes served with a good deal of firepower too.
• The Stryder: The Stryder class titan is the fastest and most agile. Perfect for hit-and-run maneuvers it relies on speed and dodging to survive while keeping good firepower.
Game Modes:
• Attrition: The recommended mode to start playing Titanfall. You kill enemies and score Attrition Points. The first team to get a certain amount of those or the one with most points once the time is up wins.
• Hardpoint Domination: Capture and hold the three strategic locations in the map for your team to earn points. The more hardpoints you hold, the faster you win. You can capture them just standing close if it´s neutral and there are no enemies close. If an enemy is nearby you will have clear them before you can start controlling the location or turning it into neutral if it was controlled by the other team.
• Last Titan Standing: In Last Titan Standing, everyone starts in a Titan and your team must eliminate all of the enemy team's Titans or Pilots to win. This is a round-based mode, and the team that wins the best of five rounds wins the match. There is no respawning within each round and there are no replacement Titans until the next round starts.
Titanfall Collector’s Edition: The Titanfall Collector’s Edition features an 18" Atlas Titan handcrafted figurine with a diorama. a 190 pages artbook and an exclusive full-size schematic poster of an Atlas Titan as well as your copy of the game. It is available for XBOX ONE, Xbox 360, and PC in very limited quantities.
Titanfall introduces you to an experience that combines fast-paced multiplayer action with dramatic, cinematic moments that lets you enjoy the fiction of the universe without having to leave your favourite game mode.
