Rainbow Six Siege publisher and developer Ubisoft have been teasing the next update that will be coming to the game.
This new update is set to feature a new map, as well as two new characters. This will be Rainbow Six Siege’s first major content update since the second season kicked off, and will be titled “Velvet Shell.” This will also feature an update that is strictly classifed in the game as an “Operation”, and operators from Spain also joining the roster, following previous newcomers from Brazil, Japan and Canada from the Red Crow, Skull Rain and Black Ice updates respectively.
The new map will be available to all Rainbow Six Siege players, though the newly added Spanish operators will require you to own the Year Two season pass, unless you decide to unlock them via in-game micro-transactions. For those without a season pass, you’ll be able to gain access to the operators with both real world and in-game currency, should you choose to purchase them.
This isn’t the first time that Ubisoft have teased fans regarding new content updates. Prior to the release of the Japanese Red Crow DLC, Ubisoft tweeted a rather enigmatic image to promote said content, and now they have done the same as you can see from the image above.
