Xbox One shows the All-Digital Xbox One sans the disc drive

Are you ready for your new Xbox One?

The rumors and reports are proving to be true as the images of the assumed "All-Digital"  Xbox One are emerging online. Everything is as expected except the fact of it coming without a blu-ray drive. It was codenamed Xbox Maverick and it has been teased and leaked over the past weeks but just recently more information has dawned on us.

Xbox One S All Digital

The new Xbox One All-Digital

The new Xbox One is called Xbox One S All Digital and it lets users focus more on the digitally downloaded games may those be stand-alone game purchases or accessed through the Xbox Game Pass. The Xbox One S All Digitallooks similar to the usual Xbox One S in white but without the disc drive. Images of the consoles were first seen in Germany’s WinFuture site and based on the box art, it can be surmised that three games may come along with it (Minecraft, Sea of Thieves, and Forza Horizon 3). It also has a 1TB hard drive.

There have been no updates regarding the price yet and everything is still unconfirmed at this stage. This may be one of the versions of the all-digital Xbox One SKU that Microsoft has been brewing out for quite some time now. Bundles may also vary from region to region. The images look official enough, so it won’t be long until Microsoft comes up with an announcement. We have to wait and consider the possibilities of it being revealed to the public in their Inside Xbox event this April 16th.

Aside from this leak, there is also a rumor spreading saying that Microsoft is planning a disc-to-digital campaign where you can bring your discs to a retailer and exchange it for a download code. We might see a lot of announcements on this matter very soon, so keep following our blog for more information.
