Windjammers 2 will launch in January

A majority of seasoned players are probably quite familiar with Neo-Geo console, a gaming platform quite popular in the '90s. It became popular quite fast and can be considered a cult classic now. 

Developer Dotemu announced that they were working on a sequel a while ago, and now they have confirmed the release date for Windjammers 2. The game is aimed at seasoned players that want to relive old moments, but it will also introduce new mechanics and gameplay modes, making it an interesting choice for new players too. Dotemu has already recently shown that the revival of old games can be quite a success with Streets of Rage 4, and Windjammers 2 looks quite exciting.
