The Last of Us Part I Remake arrives in September

It's been in the rumor mill for quite a long time, but Sony has been completely silent on the matter. At least until yesterday. The Last of Us Part I Remake was announced with a spectacular trailer, and it arrived accompanied by a BIG surprise. Not only this new version of Naughty Dog's masterpiece from 2013 will launch on PlayStation 5 next September, but it's also coming to PC in the future.

The Last of Us Part I Remake reveal

This new version of the first part in the series will feature impressive graphics, far better than the ones in the PS4 remaster from 2014 and more in line with The Last of Us Part 2. The Last of Us Part I Remake will also include additional content, like the prequel chapter, Left Behind, providing a better overview of the story. The description of the game leaves it very clear that the developer aims to offer the best possible experience to the fans.

"Experience the emotional storytelling and unforgettable characters of Joel and Ellie in The Last of Us, winner of over 200 Game of the Year awards and now rebuilt for PlayStation 5. Enjoy a total overhaul of the original experience, faithfully reproduced but incorporating modernized gameplay, improved controls, and expanded accessibility options. Plus, feel immersed with improved effects and enhanced exploration and combat."

If we leave aside the launch on PS5, the confirmation of a future release on PC is great news for the fans, as they have been waiting to enjoy the PlayStation-exclusive title on their computers for a while. Having to wait a bit longer seems like a minor annoyance compared to knowing that it's finally coming.

In any case, the release of The Last of Us Part I Remake on PS5 is scheduled for September 2, and you will find the best price to buy your The Last of Us Part I Remake PS5 code on our comparator ahead of the launch.
