Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is delayed until 2023

We are not sure of what's going on with the development of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. Developer Rocksteady has recently announced that the launch of the game won't take place until spring 2023, and it seems like quite a long while for a game that many of us expected to be playing already. Rocksteady's creative director and co-founder Sefton Hill announced the delay via Twitter with a message that reads the following:

"We've made the difficult decision to delay Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League to Spring 2023. I know a delay is frustrating but that time is going into making the best game we can. I look forward to bringing the chaos to Metropolis together. Thanks for your patience."

This delay not only makes it more difficult to capitalize on the popularity of The Suicide Squad 2 film, but it also may delay the launch of other video games based on the DC Comic series. In fact, that could very well be the real reason behind the delay of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. Earlier this month, the release of Gotham Knights was confirmed for October 25. If Rocksteady's game is nowhere ready yet, it's unlikely that the studio is willing to release the game anytime close to another DC-inspired title.

Whatever the case, if you are a Suicide Squad fan and you are eagerly waiting to give Superman and other Justice League members a run for their money, you will need a lot of patience. Meanwhile, Gotham Knights should arrive to quench your thirst for some action in a few months. The Batman Arkham series is another good choice that never gets old, especially Batman: Return to Arkham, which includes Batman Arkham Asylum and Batman Arkham City.
