Spider-Man will launch on PC
Dropping PlayStation exclusives have worked quite well for Sony so far. Horizon: Zero Dawn is one of the most significant examples since the game was a success after it was released on PC. Sony seems to have decided to explore that path for other games. Therefore, it's not strange that one of the games announced during the State of Play that took place yesterday has as a protagonist the most iconic superhero from Marvel comic series: Spider-Man.
Not one but two games
Since Marvel's Spider-Man was released in 2018 on PlayStation 4, many fans have been wondering if they would ever be able to play the game on PC. The title from Insomniac Games was a success then, and it will probably follow the same road again when its remastered version launches on PC. The new version was announced yesterday, and it will bring back Peter Parker and his alter-ego with better graphics than ever. Nixxes Software is in charge of developing the port to PC, and they should be quite busy right now since the studio is also in charge of bringing Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales to PC. That's more than enough reason to be excited about it, as stated by Nixxes' Founder Jurjen Katsman.
"Our team has always been big fans of the work from Insomniac and partnering with them to bring Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales to PC in the best way we can is something we are incredibly excited about."
Marvel's Spider-Man PC version will include the content in the base game and its DLC, The City That Never Sleeps, as well as additional missions and challenges. It will launch on August 12. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales needs a bit longer to be ready for a launch on PC, and you will have to wait until Fall 2022 to play it.
