Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice – a new trailer is published just days before the release

Announced for the very first time at the Game Awards 2017, and dated during the E3 2018, the wait comes to an end for the players, since Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be released on March 22, in just three days. On this occasion, it seems that From Software seems to want to launch with a bang as a brand new gameplay trailer incorporating the key elements of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has been published. In this video, everything is reviewed, in order to give you a global overview of the game.

Context

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice takes place in Japan at the end of the 14th century, during the Sengoku period. This period is described as an era of turmoil, both politically and socially, involving many military conflicts. It is very famous (sadly) because of the violence it incarnated.

Story

In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice you will play as a shinobi called "The One-Armed Wolf" assigned to protect a young lord, and you will have to do anything to keep him safe and sound, even risking your life. Descended from an ancient and mysterious lineage, many dangers and enemies will stand against Sekiro, including the Ashina clan. Despite your efforts to protect him, that will cost you one of your arms, the boy will be abducted, and you will set on a quest looking for revenge and restoring your honor.

Gameplay

You will need a good dose of patience because Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice won´t make your life easy. The heart of the game lies in his battles, which many have compared to Bloodborne or Nioh. Your main asset will be your prosthetic arm. It has a grapple to get you to the most inaccessible places, but that's not all. To defeat your enemies, you will have at your disposal a variety of weapons, such as spears, shurikens, swords, and even an umbrella. It does not matter what your weapon of choice is because it is above all your strategy that will make you win the fight, especially those against the formidable boss enemies. In parallel, you can also bet on finesse, using stealth for infiltrating or spying on your enemies to collect crucial information. Finally, death should not scare you because you will have the opportunity to come back to life. However, when Sekiro comes back, the Wolf is vulnerable, and if you die again, there will be consequences, sometimes heavy ones.

Progression

As you fight, Sekiro will develop new skills. You will also unlock new features for your prosthesis, which will become more and more powerful. Resources will also help you improve it. If this has made your mouth water, visit our comparator to buy Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice at the best price.
