Rumors about Battlefield 6 keep appearing

It's been over two years since Battlefield V came out and the fans of the series are now eagerly awaiting the next installment. The new game has been in the rumor mill for quite a while already. Electronic Arts confirmed a few months ago that the next Battlefield game is indeed in development and that it will be released at the end of this year. It seems that this has caused a resurgence of new rumors about Battlefield 6, which has become a hot topic recently. 

Those new rumors include alleged leaks coming from various insiders. Obviously, every time we talk about rumors the information should be taken with a grain of salt because it comes from unofficial sources. Now that the disclaimer is done, what is all this fuss about actually?

One of the rumors getting more attention is the one that says that the new game will be simply called Battlefield. A second one was revealed a few months ago by a certain Thomas Henderson, who claimed that the game would have a Battle Royale mode similar to Call of Duty Warzone. This rumor now seems all the more credible as it was “confirmed” a few days ago by Roberto Serrano, editor-in-chief of 4News.it. What's quite interesting about this story is the tweet that the official Battlefield account made in response:

It's just a touch of humor and a clever way of denying the information in the original tweet, but it's also quite interesting. More information on the next Battlefield game is already circulating and there are people talking about a "revolutionary" campaign. Anyway, what should happen in the near future indeed, is the official announcement of the game, as Battlefield 6 is slated for release this year. All our doubts should find an answer then.
