Ruiner and Nuclear Throne are free this week
It's becoming a classic in our blog, but the opportunity of getting free games in Epic Games Store is too good to let it pass. Epic Games has been handing away one or two games per week since the beginning of the year, and they plan to do it until the end of December as far as we know. They may revise this policy and decide not to continue with it, so you better take advantage of it and claim your weekly free games.
This week you can get two top-down action shooters for free, Ruiner and Nuclear Throne. They share common features, but their approach to the genre is completely different.
Ruiner is a brutal action shooter where you will fight against a corrupted system to free your brother, who is held captive. In this cyberpunk-inspired game, you will explore the city of Rengkok with the help of a friend who is a hacker. As she guides you through the narrow streets of the metropolis, you will fight hordes of enemies. You have a plethora of hi-tech weapons and gadgets to get rid of your opponents, put an end to the oppression of HEAVEN, and rescue your brother.
In Nuclear Throne, the world has suffered a cataclysm, and it's populated by mutants and monsters. This post-apocalyptic world is the perfect scenario for a battle in which you will have to reach the Nuclear Throne fighting hordes of competitors through the wasteland. You can make use of all kinds of weapons and mutate yourself even more with radiation to gain different abilities and traits. This top-down roguelike shooter features retro graphics and offers you plenty of action and high replayability options.
To get both games, all you have to do is visiting Epic Games Store, downloading its launcher, create your account or log in if you already have one, and then proceed to claim your games. Remember that there will be more free games available next week.
