A new trailer for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet was presented by Game Freak and revealed new Pokémon that will be part of the journey. Details of the story of the latest games of one of the most successful franchises in the industry were also presented.
Among the new releases, the developer presented new exclusives in the trailer and on the game's official website. Armarouge is from the Fire Warrior Pokémon category and will be exclusive to Scarlet (its attack is very reminiscent of Mega Man). Ceruledge is a Fire Blades Pokémon exclusive to the Violet version. Finally, Klawf, an Ambush Pokémon, will feature in both games.
The biggest announcement presented by Game Freak came via new details of the game's story. Players in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will be enrolled in a school hosting a Treasure Hunt-themed study.
Through it, it will be possible to meet and venture into three distinct and main objectives that will be part of the two games. All of them, however, will take place in an open world filled with new Pokémon and people to meet in the Paldea region.
Chart your own journey in Scarlet & Violet
The first stage of the new game's story is already known to players. During Victory Road, you must pass through a series of gyms and face their leaders until you can become the champion. Gym tests are also present.
However, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will also provide a new challenge for players. It will be necessary to find a rare ingredient called Herba Mystica. The reason why, however, remains a mystery for now.
Finally, players will be challenged frequently in the course of Starfall Street. This mission will bring trainers face-to-face with Team Star. Game Freak calls them the school's troublemakers, and they will frequently appear to, as their title states, cause trouble at the school.
Another new feature introduced in the trailer is the Let's Go option. It will allow players to send a Pokémon to a specific region to explore the place and collect resources. The Pokémon will be able to independently collect items it can use during its journey, and it will be able to automatically battle nearby Pokémon it encounters along the way, making it easier to gain experience and levels.
