Nvidia has announced a new update for GeForce NOW, expanding its cloud gaming library while also launching a major summer promotion on its premium subscription plans.

The sale applies to Nvidia's 12-month memberships, offering substantial discounts for new and returning subscribers. The Performance plan has been reduced from $99.99 / €109.99 / £99.99 to $64.99 / €71.49 / £64.99, representing a savings of $35. Meanwhile, the top-tier Ultimate plan drops from $199.99 / €219.98 / £199.99 to $129.99 / €142.99 / £129.99, saving users $70 from the original price.

According to Nvidia, the Performance tier provides cloud gaming at up to 1080p and 60 FPS, while also granting access to RTX-powered servers for supported games. The Ultimate membership offers significantly more horsepower, with cloud systems powered by hardware comparable to GeForce RTX 4080 and RTX 5080-class GPUs, enabling gameplay at up to 4K resolution, ultrawide monitor support, refresh rates up to 120 FPS, and advanced features such as ray tracing, DLSS, and Nvidia Reflex.

Alongside the subscription discounts, Nvidia confirmed that Guild Wars 3 will be available on GeForce NOW when it launches. The game was officially revealed by ArenaNet and NCSoft during Summer Game Fest 2026, with planned releases on PC, Steam, and PlayStation 5. Its first beta test is currently scheduled for fall 2027.

While Guild Wars 3 remains some time away, GeForce NOW members can already stream Guild Wars 2 and Guild Wars Reforged. Nvidia is also offering limited-time in-game rewards for both titles, with premium subscribers receiving early access before rewards become available to all users on June 12.

Nvidia has also confirmed that additional games will be joining the service throughout the remainder of June.

As a reminder, GeForce NOW differs from services such as Xbox Game Pass or EA Play. Subscribers must already own the games they want to stream - or have access through a supported service such as PC Game Pass - to play them via Nvidia’s cloud infrastructure. The service also includes monthly playtime limits depending on the subscription tier.

It's a really excellent service, very convenient for playing games without needing a powerful PC. The promotions make the subscription even more attractive, especially for those who want to use it occasionally when they don't have their computer available.

I was skeptical about cloud gaming at first, but services like GeForce Now have improved a lot. If they keep adding quality games, these sales make it even more tempting to give it a try.

It's always nice to see the game catalog expand when you're a GeForce Now customer, I imagine, and also to see that they're offering price reductions on their subscription, but personally that's not what will make me get a GeForce Now subscription.

La promotion GeForce Now offre 35% de réduction sur les abonnements 12 mois, ce qui est moins important que le 50% des ventes précédentes. À noter que GeForce Now nécessite de posséder les jeux séparément, différent de Game Pass qui inclut les jeux.

Beating DOOM Eternal on cloud gaming must be crazy hard, especially with how difficult the master levels get. I dunno if the delay stuff got figured out yet, but I'll end up checking it out for myself soon.

GeForce Now summer sale has nice discounts on the yearly plans and they added some good games this week. It is a convenient way to play your existing library on weaker devices or laptops but the monthly time limits and connection dependency are still the main downsides.
