Linux Kernel update points to next-gen Intel GPU inside Nova Lake

Panther Lake has just been revealed, but many are focused on a specific topic: its Xe3 architecture, particularly the forthcoming Xe3P. Intel’s Nova Lake processors are expected to launch in late 2026, following Panther Lake. Therefore, Intel’s Xe3P graphics architecture is projected to debut next year, just one year after Xe3. Unfortunately, it remains unclear what modifications will be made between Xe3 and Xe3P. The “P” is said to represent “Plus” or “Performance,” indicating that Xe3P is likely to outperform Xe3. Intel’s Xe3P graphics chips will be included in the company’s C-series, replacing the existing B-series. This change implies that Xe3P will offer a significant increase in performance. At present, Xe3P is anticipated to be utilized in both integrated and discrete graphics chips.
