Updates, updates, and more updates for Mortal Kombat 11.
It´s been just a week since its release andMortal Kombat 11 is getting now some needed tweaks here and there. NetherRealm Studios has announced that updates will be coming across all platforms with hopes of fixing the issues raised by unhappy fans. Some of those issues won´t be addressed in the latest update as they are still being worked on by the developers, however, Switch users have received a different patch to address smaller problems of the title such as the following:
- General Fixes
- Overall stability improvements
- Audio and localization updates
- Character tutorials
- Character and gameplay balancing
The developer also acknowledged players’ complains about the level of difficulty in the Towers of Time mode. NetherRealms is now doing some changes with more coming on the way. As compensation and a "thank you" effort, NetherRealm is giving in-game currency for free to all Mortal Kombat 11 players in a bundle that includes 500,000 Koins, 500 Hearts, 1,000 Soul Fragments, and 1,000 Time Krystals.
Check out below the patch notes posted by NetherRealms on Mortal Kombat 11 Reddit regarding the Towers of Time adjustments. Players have been complaining mainly about how difficult the fights were and how overbearing the modifiers were, and these changes aim to fix that:
- Adjusted AI difficulty curve
- Further opponent health reductions in higher level Towers
- Performing a fatal blow while standing in an active modifier will no longers sometimes cause unexpected behaviour or crash
- Ice based modifiers will no longer attempt to freeze players during invalid states
- Adjusted and removed modifiers from many Daily Towers
- Increased Koin Rewards for completing Towers and Tower Platforms
- The increased amount of Hearts earned from Fatalities, Brutalities, and Mercies
- Increased post-fight Koin rewards
- Adjusted the lifespan of several modifiers
- Lowered modifier damage for many modifiers
- Dramatically increased cooldown on Tag Assist modifiers
