Grab a space roguelike and cozy cat café simulator free on Epic today

Epic Games Store has refreshed its ongoing mystery giveaway promotion once again, replacing last week’s Tomb Raider I-III Remastered and Down in Bermuda offers with two new free PC games: Lonestar and Calico.

The first giveaway, Lonestar, is aimed at fans of sci-fi roguelikes and tactical deck-building gameplay. Developed by Math Tide, the game places players in the role of a bounty hunter traveling across the galaxy tracking down dangerous criminals. Combat revolves around strategic card-based mechanics, allowing players to customize their ships, unlock upgrades, and collect powerful treasures during each run.

One of the game’s standout mechanics is its “Shockwave Battle” system, where opposing ships directly test their power against one another in honorable duels. Rather than relying on ambushes or random encounters, battles are decided through tactical planning, ship builds, and careful decision-making.

The second free title, Calico, offers a much more relaxed experience. Developed by Peachy Keen Games, this cozy community simulation game tasks players with rebuilding a magical cat café in a charming small town filled with adorable animals.

Players can decorate the café, arrange furniture, bake pastries, and interact with the town’s many critters while exploring the colorful world around them. The game focuses heavily on low-stress gameplay and creative freedom, aiming to deliver a warm and relaxing atmosphere throughout the experience.

The Lonestar and Calico giveaways are available now and will remain free until June 4. As with previous Epic Games Store promotions, both games are completely free to claim during the giveaway window and remain permanently attached to your account once redeemed. After that, Epic Games Store will rotate in another mystery title, though the next giveaway has not yet been revealed.
