Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach out now

After a slight delay of several hours, Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach is finally out. There's been some initial concern that the game might not see the light of day after Scott Cawthon's announced retirement, but Sony made good on the promise of revisiting Freddy and his frightful friends. Announced back in 2019, Security Breach introduces an ambitious new playstyle to Five Nights at Freddy's while bringing back some classic mechanics. Have a look at the game trailer:

The original Fight Nights at Freddy's typically has you playing a security guard who needs to fend off the murderous animatronics until 6 AM, when your shift ends. Security Breach changes things up: instead of a restaurant setting, you are trapped in an entire mall that had been locked down for the night. Instead of a guard, you play Gregory, a young boy left inside Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex. Now, you must avoid the roving mascots—Glamrock Chica, Roxanne Wolf, and Montgomery Gator—until dawn.

You do have an unexpected ally, though: Freddy Fazbear himself is on your side and will help you stay alive. One interesting mechanic in the game draws from Five Nights at Freddy's 2 where you can put on a Freddy Fazbear mask to fool the mascots. Security Breach takes this even further—you may now wear an entire Freddy suit that will run for a short time on battery life. But beware: this may not be foolproof. FNAF 2 mascots will rip off your disguise if you don't put it on fast enough; they may be able to do the same with your Fazbear suit if you don't behave like a mascot should.

There's one more wildcard in Security Breach: the appearance of Vanessa, the protagonist of Five Night's at Freddy's VR: HELP WANTED, and a security guard in the Mega Pizzaplex. She claims to want to help you, but you seem to be hiding from her in the gameplay video.

Does Vanessa have some hidden agenda? Or is Freddy the one who will stab you in the back? You'll have to play the game to find out. Check out our best prices for PC CD keys of Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach.
