Crypt of the Necrodancer is getting a sequel

It's rare that a game comes up with an original gameplay mechanic as its foundation, but in the case of Crypt of the Necrodancer, it has led to the best possible outcome. The game is a dungeon crawler that allows you to explore a variety of locations full of monsters as you follow the rhythm of the music. Fighting countless enemies while looking for treasure with every beat is quite an addictive experience, mainly because Crypt of the Necrodancer features more than 40 original songs in an award-winning soundtrack from Danny Baranowsky.

A new expansion and more

Developer Brace Yourself Games is expanding Crypt of the Necrodancer with a new DLC. Synchrony features three new characters: Chaunter, who is capable of charming enemies to make them fight against each other; Suzu, a swift character capable of dashing through the scenario; and Kalrinetta, who wields a mighty two-handed sword. The expansion adds co-op and competitive modes for up to eight players online, as well as a new mod portal and full mod support. Of course, you can expect to find new weapons, spells, enemies, items, and more.

It seems that a new DLC is not enough, and the developer has also announced Rift of the Necrodancer, an upcoming sequel to Crypt of the Necrodancer. The only thing we know about the sequel is that it's "a new standalone rhythm game in the Necrodancer universe."

With a new expansion and a sequel in the works, Crypt of the Necromancer is on the way to become quite an original and exciting franchise that will stay alive for a while. We highly recommend it for those looking for a new type of experience. Of course, our comparator is the best place to get your Crypt of the Necrodancer Steam key cheap.
