Epic Games Store gives away a hand-drawn indie gem this week
A new double giveaway has arrived at the Epic Games Store. The free copies of Road Redemption and 112 Operator from last week are no longer available, replaced by indie favorites Hidden Folks and Totally Reliable Delivery Service for PC players to claim. As usual, you have a week to permanently add these new titles to your Epic Games Store PC library.
Kicking off with Hidden Folks, this game features hand-drawn hidden object puzzles. Players search for targets within vast environments of monochrome artwork that includes various interactive elements. This entails poking through tents, bushes, doors, and animals to uncover hidden items.
The game also humorously features over 2000 mouth-made sound effects for each interaction, courtesy of developer Adriaan de Jongh. There are 32 levels to complete, and if the black-and-white aesthetics feel too intense, Hidden Folks offers several color modes to make it more visually comfortable.
Moving on to Totally Reliable Delivery Service, this game is perfect for fans of cooperative party gaming. In this sandbox game with ragdoll physics, up to four players set out on a delivery mission, encountering numerous obstacles and distractions along the way. The open-world setting allows you to run, jump, dive, and grapple to reach delivery destinations, but it has a very rapid knockout system.
To add to the mayhem, a wide variety of toys, vehicles, and machines can be found scattered throughout the city. Even if a delivery doesn't go as planned, earning the 'Delivery Attempted' title can feel like a rewarding accomplishment. Both local and online multiplayer options are available.
Currently, the giveaways for Hidden Folks and Totally Reliable Delivery Service on the Epic Games Store are live and will run until August 21. During this week-long period, PC gamers can claim both titles for free to add to their library. It has been announced that Kamaeru and Strange Horticulture will be included in the next giveaway.
