Claim open-world crafting game Nightingale free on Epic Games

Another week has gone by, and the Epic Games Store is back with a new free game to snag. PC gamers can now jump in and claim Nightingale, the early access title released in 2024 by developer Inflexion Games. As is customary, you have seven days to permanently add this latest indie game to your Epic Games Store library.

Nightingale is a survival crafting adventure that allows players to explore a Gaslamp fantasy world. According to the developer, this intriguing mix combines Victorian aesthetics with fae magic and steampunk features. Players take on the role of a Realmwalker, part of a group of stranded travelers who must navigate a network of portals following the collapse of Earth.

Each portal presents procedurally generated landscapes to explore, featuring varied biomes. These can include lush forests, treacherous deserts, corrupted wastelands, and other distinct environments, each offering unique resources, twisted creatures to conquer, and puzzles to solve. Like other games in this genre, players engage in exploration and survival by gathering food and water, crafting tools, and constructing elaborate shelters. There are also iconic NPCs like Victor Frankenstein and Mr. Hyde who provide quests to advance the story.

The Nightingale giveaway on the Epic Games Store is currently running and will continue until October 9.
