Call of Duty: Modern Warfare loses some weight today

It's not like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is starting a diet today but it's quite likely that most of the players will make use of a new feature that is going to be implemented when the latest update for Infinity Ward's first-person shooting game is released today. Anyone that plays the game right now has at least 225 GB of storage occupied by its files on PC, and that's quite a lot, especially if you consider that some of these are probably related to parts of the game that you may not be using. Although the storage may not be a big deal for some people, a majority of players will probably be quite happy if Call of Duty: Modern Warfare takes a bit less of space.

Modern Warfare production designer Paul Haile has revealed via Twitter that players will be able to uninstall specific parts of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. This is a new feature that should be implemented in today's patch, and it seems that specific gameplay modes are the target in this case, although anything that helps to reduce the current requirement would be more than welcome. Console players have been able to uninstall parts of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare related to game modes that they were not playing for a few months now and it's something that the community of PC players has been requesting for a while.

Although there are quite many players that have their eyes set on the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War, there are also a lot of fans of the series that continue having fun in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and its free-to-play battle royale version Call of Duty: Warzone. We don't know yet what other additions today's patch will bring to the game but it won't take much longer to discover them.
